Freedom

Little Benny kept on fighting and kept on fighting. He did not give up in life, and he knew he was free in Christ. His world would sometimes seem dim, but the Lord would brighten it up again. Sometimes Little Benny would tell the Lord how tired he was, but the Lord would tell him to keep going. He could not see his bright future, but he knew that God had something in store for him. Little Benny continued on in his tasks that the Lord had for him to do. He had to be led and guided by the Holy Spirit.

After Benny had stayed locked away from the world for several months, he felt something move him to build a church hide out for lost children. He did not worry about the children coming to him, and he did not go to the children. Little Benny knew that he would be sent. He did not know how he was going to build the church, and an old friend that took care of him when he was a child was put into his memory. His friend was like a brother and a great carpenter. Little Benny knew that he was being prepared to save lost children.

Little Benny knew that he would make new friends along the way. He knew that there would still be temptations, suffering, and strife. Benny knew that there would be some things that he would not want to face. Through it all, he knew that he would have God on his side to lead and guide him. Little Benny was free from trying to get through life all by himself.

Spending Time With God

Little Benny began to open his Bible more and more. His world was growing dim. Cigar was the devil, and he knew that the Bible was making Benny stronger. Sometimes Little Benny cold see Cigar sitting in a dark corner starring at him and trying to figure him out. He kept right on reading his Bible and studying and ignoring Cigar.

After Little Benny was through reading and studying, he began to pray silently. He knew that God was listening and that made him have more faith. Little Benny was praying for the children of the world and families everywhere. Little Benny spent long hours in worship and in prayer. He grew in wisdom and knew just what to pray. There was color in his world again. Still, Cigar had to do his job tempting Benny. Little Benny still had to do his job rebuking him.

The Hypnosis Rumor

Cigar decided he would leave Little Benny’s mind alone and visit his eyesight. He appeared to Benny and became real. Little Benny saw that Cigar was going to take over in the real world. He could see things that nobody else could see. When the rest of the world did see, they did not know that they were being visited by an evil spirit. Cigar appeared to the world as a regular man. His biggest aim was children and teenagers because he knew that he could fool them easily. Cigar knew that they were looking for something and someone to follow. He knew that they were bored in life, unhappy, and looking for something to get involved in. He aimed at the weak children of the world and used them to tear down the strong.

Little Benny tried to warn everyone about Cigar. He knew that children were disappearing because of Cigar. The strong and good children that had not been taken by Cigar, but they became depressed and unhappy at home. Their parents began to notice a change in their children, but they were too busy working in the world of work most of the time working long hours. It was getting hard for them to communicate with their children because they had not really been communicating for so long. The children were under peer pressure and in school. They were falling in their grades, and had too much homework. Test and exams were very difficult to past. Cigar used all of those things to bring the good children down.

It seemed that no one in the world understood but Little Benny. He knew what was happening to the good children when the children had no explanation for it. Little Benny tried talking to them and told them that it was evil trying to intrude into their lives. However, the kind of talk that Little Benny had with the children was too hard for them to accept, and their parents began to notice Benny. Although Benny tried to help, things began to turn for the worst for Benny. Rumors began to spread that Benny was a crazy man. They learned about the smoking addiction that he had because he told his own story to help someone else. People believed that Benny was in a deep state of hypnosis and was controlled by it in his subconscious. Doctors believed that Benny entered into a deep and relaxed state of hypnosis where he is awake and aware of everything that goes on around him.

After the rumor, Little Benny shut out the rest of the world. He stayed home to lay low and remained quite. He remembered what the Bible said about how we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (Ephesians 6:12).

Keeping Color from Benny

Cigar the evil smoke spirit saw color coming into Little Benny’s life. Cigar tried to keep his world all smoked up and black and dark. He did not want Little Benny to see the light and what was right. Cigar tried to work on Little Benny’s mind. With Cigar on his mind, Benny could not see positive. Sometimes Little Benny could not rest and think clearly. He kept on having bad dreams. It was hard for Cigar to work on Little Benny’s mind when he was awake, because Benny prayed so much and read the good book. It was hard for Cigar to interfere.

Even though Benny’s world seemed black and white, Cigar noticed that he was becoming more and more real. So he felt that he had to become real too. When Benny matured and became wise in the Lord, Cigar felt that he needed to mature and become wise in evil.

Benny had aged some smoking his cigar. The wrinkles in his face began to decease as he stopped smoking. The yellow stains from smoking on his teeth began to disappear. His lungs were feeling much better. More women began to take notice of Benny, and they also tried to tempt him into their bedrooms. All of Little Benny’s friends became more jealous of him. He began to see how his friends were bringing him down buying him cigars and beers. Little Benny saw his health going down until he found real life in Jesus Christ.

Little Benny Tempted

Little Benny was tempted a number of times after he stopped smoking. The evil spirit of smoke entered into Benny’s friends to tempt him. They said to him, “Come on Benny. Smoke a cigar. Nobody lives forever.”

Benny ignored all of the things his friends said to him. He thought long and hard about how the devil tempted Eve in the Bible. Little Benny thought, “I’m going through the same temptation.” Little Benny could see his friends making fun of him and he recognized the spirit that was in them. Then he remembered how Satan tempted Jesus (Matthew 4:11).

Sometimes the smell of cigars made Little Benny want to go back to smoking. His friends would blow smoke in his face, and he knew he had to get away from them. Little Benny’s friends saw that he did not desire to hang around them anymore. They began to call him names and say that he was anti-social. Little Benny did not want to loose his friends, but he did not want to loose his life. He chose to do what was right, and he knew his friends were not his friends. Benny knew that they did not care. So when Little Benny gave up his friends, that was a second battle that he had won, but another one took its place.

Little Benny Overcomes His Addiction Completely

Little Benny finally overcame his smoking addiction completely. He overcame with the help of God. Little Benny did a lot of praying, and he even read his Bible to keep his mind away from smoking cigars. That is how his mind and determination became strong. Little Benny was no longer a prisoner of his smoking addiction. That is one big battle that he had won, but another battle took its place.

When Little Benny put out his last cigar, the death spirit was upset. One night while Little Benny was asleep, the spirit paid his mind a visit to enter into his dreams. The spirit appeared to Benny as a giant cigar head with eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. It was lying on a cigar box. The evil spirit said to him, “You think I’m dead, Fred, but I‘m not. I’m just down because I’m out.”

Little Benny saw himself smiling at him. Benny was seeing his own spirit. He saw his spirit take the cigar label from around the big cigar man’s head. Little Benny’s spirit laid the label across his shoulder as if it were a belt that he had won in a wrestling match. His spirit said to him, “You’re a winner, Benny.”

Trying to Get Over the Addiction

Little Benny still desired to smoke. It was not a complete stop. He had an addiction to overcome. Sometimes instead of smoking his cigars, he would chew them.
